Bob Atwood Book
"As I take stock of my years here, I realize that the hard work and struggles along the way have been outweighed by the fun and joy. Never did I anticipate when I arrived so long ago that Alaska would become my love. Nor did I expect to find so many caring people pulling together against often forbidding natural and political elements. Most people know our natural wonders are great. I hope these personal reflections will add a dimension of knowledge about the brave, diverse people who made this state great."

Atwood House Rental
The Atwood House is affectionally called The Marilaine, after Bob and Evangeline’s two daughters Marilyn and Elaine. The home was built in 1968 and looks like it was plucked straight from the deep- south. It sits on nearly three acres of manicured lawn that includes garden paths surrounded by statues, with a magnificent fountain as the focal point. And with its whitewashed antebellum columnar exterior and wrap around balcony, it is truly one of a kind structure in Alaska.
The Atwood Foundation Board now offers the house to non-profit organizations for their fundraising activities.
